Grants are available to people who have worked as a nanny in the past year and are residents of the United States or territories. Proof of need and previous employment experience will be requested during the application process. While we do our best to ensure the anonymity of applicants throughout the review process, please do not share personal information that includes your SSN or ITIN, driver’s license or passport number, or other sensitive information.

Requirements

To be eligible for grant consideration, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Residency and Employment: Applicants must reside and work within the United States as a nanny, or newborn care specialist.


Work History: Applicants must demonstrate a consistent work history, having worked an average of at least 30 hours per week as a nanny over the past 12 months.


Emergency Circumstances: Applicants must have experienced a significant, unexpected, and unplanned emergency that has adversely affected their home, property, vehicle, employment, or livelihood.


Documentation: Applicants must provide verifiable documentation to support their work history and the nature of their emergency.


Grant Payout Method: Applicants must be able to receive grant funds via a paper check in the mail.

What papers do I need to collect?

  • Your name and mailing address, a phone number and email address

  • Some proof of being a nanny (at least one of following)- this can include but is not limited to a resume, contract, social media links or screenshots, certificate from nanny training courses, membership information from nanny organization, personal reference, agency reference, texts/emails that show scheduling or other work related conversations, or other verifiable information in the form of pdf files or screen shots. NOTE: photos of children will not be accepted.

  • Some proof of income for some period in the last 6 months (at least one of following) - this can include but is not limited to a w-2 or 1099 form, 2018 or 2019 tax return, copies of bank statements, letter from nanny employer, severance letter, screenshots of venmo/cash app or other payments, pay stubs or other verifiable information in the form of pdf files or screen shots.

  • Some proof of financial distress due to COVID 19 (one or more of the following)- overdue bills, copies of bank statements, copies of applications for unemployment or other aid, notice of late rent or eviction notice, loan applications, listing of medical expenses, or other verifiable information in the form of pdf files or screen shots.

  • Information will be uploaded to the application by providing screenshots, pdf files, gif or jpeg images.
